Furniture

Andrew Werby has always felt that art, and his art in particular, should not be confined to the sterile environment of museums and galleries. He wants his art to take its place in daily life, and making furniture is an obvious means to that goal. The digital and analog techniques he’s developed lend themselves to the production of wooden parts with an unparalleled control of detail, transposing forms and textures captured from the natural world into wooden relief panels and fully-round components, that are assembled into functional items. He often tops them with slabs of petrified wood, granite, or intarsia mosaics composed in semi-precious stones.
